Capturing love stories is more than just my job—it’s my passion. As a downtown Seattle wedding videographer, Thu and Eric’s wedding was nothing short of magical. This wedding took place in June of 2024 but I remember it like it was yesterday. Their special day was filled with laughter, joy, and meaningful moments. I’m excited to share some highlights from their incredible celebration and the unique details that made their wedding unforgettable.

A Match Made in Heaven

From the moment I met Thu and Eric, it was clear they were meant for each other. Their connection was so genuine, their happiness so infectious, and their love story truly inspiring. Every moment of their wedding day radiated with joy – from the tender exchanges during their ceremony to the endless laughter at their playful reception. Their wedding party was cracking jokes and having a great time throughout the day and I think it really showed their level of connection and friendship with the couple. Celebrating with our chosen family is so important, don’t you think?

A Dream Wedding Venue in Downtown Seattle

Starting at the Seattle waterfront Marriott, we were allowed access to a rooftop view for their first look and private vows. There is nothing that says “downtown Seattle” more than actually having a backdrop of downtown Seattle for your pivotal moments!

We crossed the street to set up the wedding party and couples portraits at the Bell Harbor observation deck. Then, drove down to Tukwila to have their formal and lovely Catholic ceremony at St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Their reception was then hosted back at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center. Right along the waterfront, Bell Harbor offers breathtaking views of Puget Sound, Elliott Bay, and Seattle’s iconic skyline. On that day I remember thinking, it’s no wonder this venue is one of Seattle’s most sought-after spots for weddings. Ultimately, it created the perfect setting for Thu and Eric’s big day. The waterfront charm added an extra layer of magic to their celebration.

The Power of Two: Downtown Seattle Wedding Videographer Capturing Every Angle

Having my wife Taylor join me as a second videographer elevated the experience even further. When we can work together, it allows us to capture the day from multiple angles and perspectives, ensuring no detail is missed. Capturing multiple viewpoints of really important moments can add additional depth and significance to a wedding film. It’s also fun to work together as a husband and wife team. Our teamwork allows us to highlight both the grand, sweeping scenes and the smaller, intimate moments that make every wedding unique.

Laughter and Love: Reception Highlights

Thu and Eric’s reception was a celebration to remember, brimming with humor and joy. They brought their playful personalities to life with fun traditions like wedding door/teasing games, or 闯关 (chuǎng guān). This is when family and friends put the couple to the test with lighthearted challenges. These games not only provided endless laughs but also showcased Thu and Eric’s incredible teamwork.

One hilarious moment had Thu blindfolded, trying to identify Eric among the groomsmen just by touch! Another game involved the couple working together to catch a piece of paper between their heads, which led to accidental bumps and plenty of giggles. The evening wrapped up with a spirited drinking game, where their friends graciously ensured the newlyweds came out on top. These playful moments added so much fun to the celebration and left everyone cracking up and memories for a lifetime.

Surrounded by their loved ones, Thu and Eric’s wedding was a beautiful testament to love, connection, and joy. Every detail came together to create an unforgettable day.
