Today I want to give a little behind the scenes look at the lay flat shot featured above with all of the beautiful details. Something I keep in mind with all of my films is that video is vastly different from photo. Such that a good photograph does not necessarily translate to a good video clip. Video craves movement. Something to help bring what is in frame, alive! I only implement this shot a few times a year but I love to have items fall to the lay flat. Whether that is specific items from the couples stationary suite or a floral element. By having something naturally and elegantly fall to the stationary will help elevate a seemingly stagnant shot.
